2.Brief introduction
This concrete curbs compression and flexural testing machine is to measure and determine compressive strength and flexural strength of concrete curbs which is placed at the places of side of roads, road boundary and for water guiding. The concrete curbs is mainly made of cement and ordinary aggregate after vibrating or equivalent method.
3.test details
3.1 Flexural testing
The flexural test is suitable for beeline concrete curbs. Before test, marking test span at the side of the curbs, loading place is at the middle of the concrete curb’s width. If side of the concrete is beveled, knotted corner or arc surface, cement paste or similar material should be used to make the loading surface to be flat so that the loading plate can be completely contact with the specimen. Test can be done after 3d treatment. Diagram of test specimen is as following:

(1)adjust test span of flexural test attachments to be ls=l-2x50mm
(2) take out test specimen from water and wipe off water on the surface with wet towel, put specimen on the testing support with side up, length direction of test specimen perpendicular to test support. Loading center and compress center should be in line. Put loading plate at the loading place and put leveling plate between loading plate and surface of test specimen. See following diagram:
(3) start testing machine and set loading speed between 0.04Mpa/s and 0.06Mpa/s, loading evenly and continuously until test specimen failure, record maximum loading force.
3.2 compressive test
The compressive test is suitable for curve concrete curb,right angle concrete curb and other concrete curb which is not suitable for flexural test. Cut 100x100x100mm specimens from the sides of curbstones within 20mm from the end and top. Take the surface perpendicular to the curb forming direction as force bearing surface. Both force bearing surface should be smooth and flat. Test specimen should be treated for 3d. Measure length of two sides perpendicular to the force bearing surface with calipers or steel rulers. Take out test specimen from water and wipe off water on the concrete curb surface with wet towel. Put test specimen at the center of lower compress plate and then start test machine, set test speed between 0.3-0.5Mpa/s evenly and continuously until test specimen failure.

According to flexural strength of BCC, the concrete curb grade can be Cf3.5, Cf4.0, Cf5.0, Cf6.0
According to compressive strength of CCC and RACC, the concrete curb grade can be Cc30,Cc35,Cc40,Cc45
